Graphic designer

(unPAID - intership)

We are looking for a highly creative yet data-driven, passionate Graphic Designer to join our Encinitas-based Team. The ideal candidate has a deep curiosity for understanding the digital landscape of wellness/lifestyle brands, specifically WE ARE Creative Adventurers community.

Are you currently in school for graphic design? Let us help you build your portfolio of companies you have designed for!

Day to day tasks include web design, social media, and other day to day tasks as they arise. Please note that this is an unpaid 6 month internship with potential for per diem work.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build their portfolio of web designs and making great connections along the way.

Applicants should ideally have a creative eye and knowledge of current web design and social media trends. Partial knowledge of the travel industry. More than anything we just want someone with passion, enthusiasm to learn, and a good attitude.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Passion for the WE ARE Creative Adventurers lifestyle and brand
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) MAC
• Comfort taking feedback with grace and professionalism
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced start-up environment
• Work with the head of the new website development over possible new looks for the website
• The work is extremely detail-oriented, so organization and great follow-through skills are also required
• Ability to multi-task, strong organizational and communications skills

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• 16 hours per week in Encinitas office ( San Diego)
• Act as an internal Graphic Designer support - identify trends and new social platform offerings to ensure WE ARE Creative Adventurers is a social innovator
• Design presentation pdf for clients, brands and collaborators
• Work with the head of the new website development over possible new looks for the website
• Propose a new look and design feel for the re-created website
• An elevated creative eye & understanding of what is cool vs. cliché
• Manage our social media content calendar across ALL channels
• Manage day-to-day posting of approved content on company channels
• Manage direct communication with our community across all platforms and report engagement trends

SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN

(PAID OR CREDIT)

We are looking for a highly creative yet data-driven, passionate Social Media Coordinator to join our Encinitas-based Team. The ideal candidate has a deep curiosity for understanding the digital landscape of wellness/lifestyle brands, specifically WE ARE Creative Adventurers community.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Passion for the WE ARE Creative Adventurers lifestyle and brand
• Passion for social, digital & new media technologies; passion for photography
• Comfort taking feedback with grace and professionalism
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced start-up environment
• Excellent written communication skills - both conversational and digital fluency
• Understanding of social media platforms - Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn etc
• An elevated creative eye & understanding of what is cool vs. cliché

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• 10 hours per week in Encinitas office ( San Diego)
• Act as an internal social media support - identify trends and new social platform offerings to ensure WE ARE Creative Adventurers is a social innovator
• Gather content
• Inform the strategic vision for social media (including content, channel and engagement strategies)
• Educate and encourage The Executive & Teaching Team : social media support, weekly updates on trending topics & social media tools
• Create social media - writing copy, compiling Teacher inspiration, sourcing on-brand photos and videos
• Manage our social media content calendar across ALL channels
• Manage day-to-day posting of approved content on company channels
• Manage direct communication with our community across all platforms and report engagement trends
• Help protect the brand voice & identity across social media channels
